Tenisha Carey, the creative force behind Baha Gala, is a multi-talented Bahamian artist whose work spans jewelry, clothing, interior design, photography, poetry, and modeling. With a degree in communications, she infuses her artistry with storytelling and a deep sense of individuality.
Her design journey began in 2001 when she started making jewelry for herself, frustrated by the repetitive styles she saw everywhere. Guided by her belief that “we were all designed to stand out, not fit in,” Tenisha creates distinctive, handcrafted pieces that embody uniqueness and elegance.
Founded in 2003, Baha Gala specializes in jewelry made from premium natural materials such as shells, sand, seeds, coral, turquoise, semi-precious stones, and freshwater pearls. Over the past 21 years, the brand has grown from two Nassau stores to two Freeport locations—at RayVin Mall and the newly designed studio at Carnival’s Celebration Key Cruise Port—while also being featured in major boutiques across The Bahamas, including Atlantis Resorts, Baha Mar, and The Cove Eleuthera.
Tenisha’s mission is to deliver quality, beauty, and authentic Bahamian artistry, redefining personal style through each statement piece. As she says: “Beauty begins within… but ends on the outside!”
